These are all my favorites too! The aestura range especially has been a god send since my skin became weirdly sensitive after I turned 40. Korean and Japanese skincare and makeup just can’t be beat. Enjoy!
I'm very similar with beauty stuff. I rarely use lipstick, just gloss and tinted balm (which never seem to last very long!) and I'm always trying new skincare products (often b/c I get them as gifts or swag) and so I can't actually tell what "works" or not! So I guess it's just about what feels good. When I went to Korea two summers ago, I bought so many things that were recommended online but I probably ended up gifting most of the stuff.
I need to try those no glue lashes though! Whoa! I get my lashes done and it's so time consuming and expensive. But it's kind of like my lazy beauty approach. Then I don't use liner or mascara b/c it kind of looks like I have it already.
Off Campus!! I have already rewatched (parts). I like the show better than the first book, the Deal! Need more shows like this that reminds me of the shows of my youth...
Haha I was just going to ask if your brows are microbladed! I did that (and eyeliner tattoo) about 10 years ago and it's great! I just did the top waterline so it's very fine - and now I think it might have faded.
Ok, I so wanted to read this post so bad and see all the goodies you got in South Korea! I think if I ever go there, my husband will have a full-time job: first, he has to peel me off the door of every beauty store, then hide the credit card somewhere I'll never find it, and then lock me in the hotel.
I am obsessed with Korean beauty products, and the problem is they actually work, so I have zero excuses! 😩 I use both the sunscreen and the serum you shared, and I need to buy them again and wait a whole month to get them… the struggle is REAL.
Now… can we talk about how gravity has suddenly decided my face is its favorite game? 😩😩😩 My cheeks are dropping. It happened SO quickly, like one day everything was where I left it, and the next… nope. Gone south. Literally.
BUT I am staying positive and letting nature do its thing, not fighting it!
gravity is my mortal enemy as well, sigh. i got titanium and onda done while in korea and they definitely made a huge difference but the effects fade so quickly. LA has med spas that do similar but they are more than double the price, eep. anyway--let's just keep playing with our serums and makeup and have fun with it!
Wow I have never heard of the treatment but I’m going to look into it. I may check if they do it in Colombia. But in the meantime as you said, let’s have fun with our potions and makeup!
Yesss re Yesteryear. I have been passing my copy around my friend group so we can discuss. I don’t know if I liked it but it made me think A LOT for a solid week, which in my perimenopause addled brain is equivalent to a month. I think it was a very strong debut novel but I think it was a bit overhyped. There were a few sections in desperate need of a good editor. That said, if it hadn’t been hyped so much, I wouldn’t have minded the unevenness as much.
Off Campus has been enjoyable but compared to the books, it has me rolling my eyes and actually fast forwarding in some parts. I am also still obsessed with Heated Rivalry, and OC just can’t compare. The MMC in Off Campus reminds me sooo much of Gavin Rossdale. I couldn’t place it until another Substacker (I think The Seasonalist? Again brain fog) called it out. Once you see it you can’t unsee it.
i am low-key, HIGH-key, obsessed with the actor playing Garrett Graham so i think that explains my love of the show A LOT lol. but i also never read the books!
And yes, have loooots of thoughts on Yesteryear...!
Off campus! We need a club to discuss and compare to the books. I’m ready for a rewatch too! That sunscreen is on my list to try after hearing it’s praised touted by everyone.
