lots of great recs! It took me so long to get into the Ministry of Time, but once I hit the second half I was glad I stuck with it. Loved The Dutch House, as you know. I've been reading a lot of amazing middle grade books lately... Adam Gidwitz is a story magician. I already have Famesick qued up for audio--I agree NF/memoirs are the best on audio.

It took me awhile to get into MoT too because the prose was something you had to get used to but oh man when I did get into it, it was SO good. Definitely putting Adam's book on a future queue for A!

I started reading The Dutch House, and don’t know why I didn’t continue! I may give it a try. I’ll be saving your other books recos for the future!

Sometimes not all books are for all moods!

I couldn’t get into The Dutch house, which is weird since it’s Ann Freaking Patchett. Will have to try again. I loved The Ministry of Time too! I wasn’t in love with the latest Abby Jimenez, which was a disappointment. Thanks for all the recs!

It wasn't my fave of Abby's either, but I just love being in her cozy worlds full of men who actually know how to communicate lol. And re: Dutch House, not all books are for all moods like I just told Natalia! Hope you find something that sticks!

I am the slowest reader known to mankind. Still on Strangers…

Get it on audio! So much faster and the author narrates beautifully.

I love this list but especially Rebecca Searle! One Italian Summer nourished my heart, soul and brain. I’m so excited that there’s another book of hers to look forward to. I also did like The Dutch House though it took me a hot minute to get into it. I love her cozy worlds. Have you read Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walters? Some parallels there between Beautiful Ruins and One Italian Summer minus the magic but I think you’d like it.
